| OptoElectronics Space Systems Engineer required to join a specialist precision engineering company developing high performance components and subsystems for the space, defence and advanced technology sectors. The role involves the design, development, integration and testing of complex opto electronic and mechatronic systems for demanding, mission critical applications. Requirements Degree in Electronics, Optoelectronics, Physics, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline. Experience developing and integrating opto-electronic or precision electromechanical systems. Understanding of optical systems, sensors, electronics and control technologies. Experience with system testing, verification and validation. Knowledge of high reliability engineering, ideally within space, aerospace or defence. Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Any experience with space qualified hardware, precision instrumentation, embedded systems or automated test equipment would be advantageous. Responsibilities Design and develop opto electronic systems and precision engineering solutions. Support the integration of optical, electronic, mechanical and software components. Develop and validate measurement, control and test systems. Perform system testing, verification and performance analysis. Support prototyping, product development and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high reliability systems. Ensure compliance with stringent quality and performance requirements.
